Fear Not!
We have been doing Crocodile Dock VBS at church this week, and it has been really awesome and refreshing to see God move amongst the children.
The nightly theme/saying has been Fear Not! Which immediately takes any sound minded male my age back to the No Fear shirts, and any good churched male back to the christian knock off Fear Not shirts.
Still the message has been refreshing and assuring to me. One of the bible verses this week was:
Exodus 3:12
And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”
If that promise does not wash away your fears I am not sure what will. With all the new life changes bearing down on us I am often in need of a reminder that He is with us. I know it to be true, but often my mind seems to suppress the fact long enough for me to start worrying about all the details.
Still I know I can trust that His word is true, and He will not abandon or forget about us. And when he has rescued us once again we will worship in all his glory, majesty and sovereignty.
God is with us…Fear Not!
