Historic Day and Free Stuff
Well, sorry I have not blogged much this week. My business traveling schedule has picked up in recent weeks, and therefore I have been more crunched for time. I did want to get in two quick notes today.
1. What a historic day it was yesterday.
Overall I am still not sure how I feel about the election results, but I couldn’t help but get swept up in the moment last night and again this morning. I kept thinking, this is what it must have felt like to witness MLK’s I Have A Dream Speech, or see Armstrong first walk on the moon. I have always reflected on major events in U.S. History and wondered what it must have felt like to be alive during those historic moments. To bear first hand account of a timeless event. Regardless of whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or “Other” I hope you took a moment to celebrate the huge social and cultural step forward our country took yesterday.
2. Free Stuff
We all love free stuff right? Even more so when it is good free stuff. To commerate and spur forward the democratic spirit this week, for a limited time Derek Webb is giving away a free download of his fantastic album - Mockingbird. To sweeten the pot even futher he has included a bonus audio track of him reading his recent article “How Shall We Then Vote?” You can download your free copy at www.noisetrade.com.
I have blogged about both Derek and NoiseTrade in past posts if you are interested in more info about either.
Happy Election Week.
–Wholly Surrender!
